TrainSmart Australia is proud to offer fee-free training for selected accredited courses as part of the Fee Free 23 WA Government initiative, now extended into 2024. There is no cost for you. This free training will focus on priority industry areas to help build WA’s skilled workforce, support our employers and businesses, and create employment and career opportunities for all Western Australians.

*You must meet eligibility criteria to qualify. Additional fees may apply such as deposits, service and resource fees*. This is a Western Australian government program available to WA residents only.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible for a guaranteed training place if you have left school, your primary place of residence is in Western Australia, and you meet one of the below criteria:

1.

You are an Australian Citizen

2.

You are a permanent visa holder or holder of visa sub-class 309, 444, 785, 790, or 820

3.

You are a partner or dependant of a holder of a temporary Visa sub-class 457, or 482

4.

You hold a Bridging Visa E (sub-classes 050 and 051) with a valid application for a visa sub-class 785 or 790

Jobs & Skills WA Training Delivery

Hybrid Training Delivery – One Day per week

  • Mandatory on-campus, face-to-face classes for specialist units
  • Mandatory remote/virtual classes for highly theoretical/research units

‘Existing Worker’ is an individual who works 20 hours or more per week for the same employer. 

Hybrid Training Delivery – Two Days per week

  • Mandatory on-campus, face-to-face classes for specialist units
  • Mandatory remote/virtual classes for highly theoretical/research units

‘Job Seeker’ is an individual that is currently unemployed or under employed (working less than 20 hours a week with one or across multiple employers).

* Please note, you can only enrol and claim ONE Job’s and Skills WA subsidy at a time. If you are currently enrolled in another course through Job’s and Skills WA (Including Lower Fees, Local Skills AND Skills Ready), you must either complete or withdraw from that course before enrolling in a new course.
