Through the Lower Fees, Local Skills program, selected course prices have been cut in half!
Capped Costs
No matter which course you choose, the course costs are capped at $400 or $1,200 (based on concession eligibility) per course / per calendar year.
Selected Provider
The WA Government has appointed TrainSmart Australia as an approved provider of the Jobs and Skills WA program.

Am I eligible?
You are eligible for this government subsidy if you reside in Western Australia, and meet one of the following criteria;
1.
You are an Australian Citizen
2.
You hold a sub-class 309, 444, 785, 790, or 820 visa
3.
You are a partner or dependant of a holder of a temporary Visa sub-class 457, or 482
4.
You hold a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) with a valid application for a visa sub-class 785 or 790

Target Group
Mandatory On-Campus, Face-To-Face Classes – One Day per week

‘Existing Worker’ is an individual who works 20 hours or more per week for the same employer.

‘Job Seeker’ is an individual that is currently unemployed or under employed (working less than 20 hours a week with one or across multiple employers).

* Please note, you can only enrol and claim ONE Job’s and Skills WA subsidy at a time. If you are currently enrolled in another course through Job’s and Skills WA (Including Lower Fees, Local Skills AND Skills Ready), you must either complete or withdraw from that course before enrolling in a new course.
Course Fees and Annual Course Fee Caps
The half price course fees through the Lower Fees, Local Skills program are available to WA residents eligible to study!
The fee cap means that regardless of how much the course normally costs, you will not have to pay more than a certain amount per course in any one calendar year.

Concession eligibility
You will be eligible for the concession rate if you;
- Are a person, or the dependent of a person, holding a;
- Pensioner Concession Card, OR;
- Health Care Card*, OR;
- a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs
- Are a person, or the dependent of a person, in receipt of the Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY
- Are a person, or the dependent of a person, in receipt of services from the following Commonwealth support or employment services programs;
- Workforce Australia, OR;
- ParentsNext
If you are aged between 15-24 years old and don’t have a valid concession card, your annual course fee will be capped at $400 per calendar year at the non-concession rate.
*In order to benefit from the concession lower rate, it is important for you to provide TrainSmart Australia with a valid health care card for the duration of your training with us. If you fail to do so, your fees will increase to the non-concession higher rate.
If your concession card expires midway in your course, it is your responsibility to obtain a new concession card from Services Australia (Centrelink) and provide the new card details at least seven (7) days prior to the expiry of the old card. If you fail to do so, your fees will increase to the non-concession higher rate.
