Megan Bird is a Trainer and Assessor across Diploma of Counselling, Mental Health, Community Services, and Alcohol and Other Drugs at TrainSmart Australia. She is also a Counsellor in Private Practice in Melbourne, in her own practice for over a decade. Her background is in Community Psychology so has a broad scope of practice. She has a special passion for working with kids and trauma clients.
Megan graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Bachelor of Business (Management) and she has a Diploma of Counselling.
She has worked in Vocational and Community Psychology for the bulk of her career, taking on the role of Trainer/Assessor six years ago after hosting a placement student. Megan was determined to ensure that new counsellors in the field have a real-world understanding and effective application within the client space.
Megan loves seeing people strive and achieve, reaching their goals and feeling that sense of pride and achievement. She feels the combination of interpersonal counselling and training offers her a perfect balance to encourage and support people to achieve their best, either as a client or a student.
