TSA College of Creative Arts have been so lucky with the work experience the students have been asked to be a part of. This work experience opportunity was definitely a first for the students.
Through the connections I have in the theatre world, namely a close friend of mine Lisa Sontag who is a cast member in the Broadway Musical production touring Australia Mamma Mia, we were able to bring together seven of the cast to join TSA students for an Avant Garde photoshoot where we made them into Grecian Goddesses.
As Mamma Mia is set on a Greek Island the Grecian Goddess theme came so naturally for us. After countless hours of creating the head pieces, jewellery pieces and costumes we were ready.
As the day came around the nerves came for the students who all knew that this was a massive opportunity to work with the cast of a Broadway musical. Some of the students had been to see the show, which made it even more exciting for them.
Finally, after weeks of preparation, the day arrived and the cast floated in, the students took their places and then it was on, full hair and make-up Avant Garde styles, the students worked so hard and in the end it was to date the best day any of us have had at TSA college of creative arts. The cast members were so impressed with the results and didn’t even recognise themselves.
The professional shots for this epic event were taken by Aaron McPolin photography and the results are incredible, thank you Aaron for being a part of this momentous occasion with TSA.
We will never forget the day the cast of Mamma Mia the Broadway Musical came to our college. Such incredible people, humble and talented, giving us their energy and enthusiasm. I have never been more inspired to create. Thank you to all involved for this wonderful day of Avant Garde hair and make-up for the Grecian Goddesses.
