Language, Literacy and Numeracy

Language, literacy and numeracy skills are important in everyday life –that’s why we offer help in this area ahead of your studies!

If  you  do  not  have  a Year  12  achievement  certificate,  or  evidence  of successful completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate IV or higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English) you may be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test before enrolling into our Certificate and Diploma courses.

Reading and numeracy assessments are taken on a government approved tool.

If you would like  to access a VET Student  Loan,  Government  regulation  requires  you  to  achieve  an  Exit  Level  3  in  the Australian Core Skills Framework in Reading and Numeracy. If  you  need  extra  help,  we  offer  a  variety  of  resources  that  will  help  you  throughout  your  learning experience  at  TrainSmart  Australia.

Fully  committed  to  your  success,  our  Department  of  Language, Literacy and Numeracy strives to ensure that student support needs are met. As such, we have an LLN specialist who can meet with you or chat over the phone to discuss ways of improving your learning, literacy and numeracy standards.

If you need extra help because of other learning disabilities or genuine impairments, such as deafness or dyslexia, please don’t hesitate to let us know – we will do our best to make arrangements to deliver your training more effectively.

All language, literacy and numeracy support come at no additional fee to the applicants and students, and all assessments are carried out online in the comfort of your own home. If you are aged under 18, we will need your parents to approve your decision to study. Additionally, our career guidance service is free and open to all, whatever your age.
