A 2008 study published in the Journal of Affective Disorders measured the prevalence of mental health problems among college students. More than 50 percent of students had a mental health problem at the start of the survey or during a follow up interview two years later.

DrugRehab.com is not only a great web resource that provides plenty of information and support to people fighting addiction, but the following link in particular; will take you to a page which serves as an invaluable source of helpful advice and information for affected students.

Our goal, like those of the Drug Rehab Outreach team, in wanting to contribute to the welfare of students experiencing mental health challenges and the pressures that come with them, is to bring an increased awareness to this issue – and to provide a rich resource, especially for any college students struggling with mental illness and substance abuse.

If you too want to be pro-active in contributing to the welfare of others, please feel free to share this link and story – especially with anyone who knows someone needing such support.
